A diptych whose two halves are ‘Earth Time’ and ‘The Anthropocene’, my response to where we find ourselves early in the 21st century. I am fascinated by the amount of time Earth has existed - 4.6 billion years - and in this mosaic depict the various eons and eras before humans evolved in an effort to put our presence into perspective. ‘The Anthropocene’, is a new term referring to the current geological age during which human activity has been the dominant influence on the environment and all the lifeforms with whom we share this precious planet.
